Katie Holmes Replacing Liv Tyler in ‘The Romantics’
It looks like New York is going to have the pleasure of seeing a lot more of Katie Holmes once again.
Holmes will replace Liv Tyler, who bowed out for undisclosed reasons, as the lead in the indie flick “The Romantics.”
Variety reports that Holmes will also executive produce the star-studded film featuring Malin Akerman, Elijah Wood, Anna Paquin, Josh Duhamel, Adam Brody and Jeremy Strong.
The movie’s plot centers on eight college friends who reunite for the wedding of Lila, played by Paquin. Holmes’s character Laura is the maid of honor, who shares a romantic past with the groom.
The movie begins shooting this week in New York City. Great cast, good plot – it should be a good movie.
