Hilary Duff received a parking ticket while visiting the Ken Paves Hair Salon on Thursday (Oct. 22). The 22-year-old actress fed the meter before entering the Beverly Hills salon, but stayed too long. The meter maid left a ticket on the windshield of the Gossip Girl’s SUV.

I don’t understand why all the papparazzi stood around waiting for Hilary to get out of the salon and no one dropped a couple of coins in the meter, but she seemed to take it in stride with a smile on her face.

Duff can be seen in Gossip Girl for seven-episodes as Olivia Burke, a movie star who enrolls at NYU in search of a traditional college experience and ends up rooming with Vanessa (Jessica Szohr).

The actress is also shooting The Business of Falling in Love, a romantic comedy starring Hilary as a fashion reporter who goes undercover in the business world hoping to find love while writing an article about dating men in suits. The film is set to appear on the small screen for ABC Family.
