Fans Riot Over Justin Bieber
Justin Bieber, the 15-year-old YouTube sensation — whose new album, My World, was released on Nov. 17 — ignited a riot at a mall on Long Island, NY, when too many fans turned up at his autograph signing on Friday afternoon.
Thousands of screaming girls showed up at Roosevelt Field mall, where Justin was to sign autographs. A riot broke out when both the girls and their mothers were pushing and shoving. Julianna Vutera, 13, told Have U Heard, “You couldn’t move. There was shoving, mother’s yelling….it was chaos.” Mall security had no control of the crowd and the police had to be called.
One girl was taken to the hospital and one person was arrested.
The Canadian singer never actually made it into the mall and pleaded with his fans, via Twitter, to go home or more arrests would follow. Justin and his mother were threatened to be arrested if they came to the mall. Justin was also told to update his twitter account immediately telling the fans to go home.
“The event is cancelled,” he tweeted. “Please go home. The police have already arrested one person from my camp. I don’t want anyone hurt.”
Later he apologized to fans, writing:
“I’m sorry to everyone who was in Long Island at the mall 2day. I was just trying to come meet fans and never meant to disappoint anyone.”
There is a warrant out for the arrest of Justin’s manager. I am not sure of the reasons. Feel free to leave a comment and let us know if you were there and what happened.

i was at the mall on this day. it was insane it was no joke. one mother broke her arm because she was in a fight with another mom. once we heard that they cancelled it everyone ran inside the mall because they thought that justin bieber was still at justice. later on people were shoving and screaming his name. and one girl grabbed another girl and pushed her against the justice glass window and that girl turned aorund and punched her in the face as the police kicked them out i saw scratches all around their face. this isnt justins fault. he didnt expect this to happen. but for his first CD signing and his fans went phsyco where it went from like hitting to getting kicked out. i dont think that they should of threaten justin bieber that they would arrest him if he stepped foot in the mall. i know he’ll make it up because hes the kind of kid that would make sure his fans are happy. im hoping that i will get another chance to meet him:)

I was at the mall too. It was complete and total craziness. It was so unorganized and just complete madnes. People were fightinng, pushing, shoving. No one would listen to the security guards, the cops, or the mall managment when they said it was cancelled. We all had so much hope that he was going to come so we didn’t want to believe it. It wasn’t Justin’s fault though. It was the mall’s fault for their chaotic manor. They should have hired more security or something, anything. Everywhere you turned people were either pushing, fighting, screaming, or crying. It was just unbelievable. I go to that mall every weeked, but I refure to give them my business again after today. This isn’t Justin’s fault in any way and I feel so bad for him because he’s blaming himself for it!

I too was at the mall. It was just crazy. People were injured,one girl even got tazered because she wasn’t cooperating. People were yelling and screaming and getting into fights. It was so crowded u couldn’t even move. Every single floor was full and it was just so dangerous and scary. People were jokingly saying justin was in abercrombie so everyone went there and nothing. Ionce they said it was cancelled everyone was just crying. My friends and I camped out. I <3 justin.

I’ve always enjoyed singing, I just haven’t ever let it out in front of everyone. Try coming to Mississippi. Preferably the birth place of Elvis Presley:)

I live on long island and when i heard that JUSTIN BIEBER
was coming to our tiny little island probably no one knew
about until the signing,that felt great.But then a RIOT?
That was unexpected.I mean if they would have fight over
ONLY Justin Bieber. It was never Justin’s fault. He never
did anything wrong. Nothing’s wrong with taking ONE step
foot into Rosevelt Field Mall(Im going there today!).
It’s a HUGE mall.He also could of ran.Justin’s a sweet boy.
